YEKATERINBURG, Jul 10 (PRIME) -- Russian carbon fiber producer UMATEX, part of state nuclear power corporation Rosatom, has launched negotiations on exports of its carbon fiber products to a European car component producer, UMATEX CEO Alexander Tyunin told reporters on Tuesday during the Innoprom-2018 expo.
“I can proudly say that exactly a month ago our material successfully passed a test of one of Austria’s largest producers of car components with a turnover of U.S. $2 billion. They acknowledged our material equalling to Japanese, European, and American analogues. We launched commercial talks earlier today to start supplies,” he said without disclosing the name of the company.
